Sick Boy and Two Teeth

I got home for my crazy Bunco girls night (I'm one wild and crazy Momma?!) and I hear the always dreaded late-night moan from my little boys room. Oh no!

He was sick. Very sick...change the sheets and take this bucket back to bed sick. Poor guy.

Poof.... there goes the weekend!

Now in our umtheth hour of ToonDisney. We have another surprise.

Toothless wonder! S has lost her 6th tooth. Her second in the last 2 days. This is revenge of the tooth fairy. S is thrilled, of course!

mARbleS

S- like to build. Her current favorite material is marbles. Lots of marbles. She spent hours over the last few mornings building pyramids. It weirds me out a little bit but I also have to admit that I am a little proud of her dedication and patience. She has more steady patience then any little person. Maybe it is all the years of living with her overwhelmingly impatience big brother. I need to learn some of this simple skill for my little girl. Patience is a virtue, right?

Baby is on it's way!!!

My little sister has had the longest pregnancy EVER!!!! (according to her)

She was ready to have the whole bloating, sick, uncomfortable-ness part of the pregnancy over about 8 months ago. While I never felt her pain, I feel for her. She is my only sister after all!

We are all waiting ever so anxiously for baby boy to join our family party today so we can finally meet him and my dear sister can have a brake. And then of course she is expected to go back to being a full-time mom, organizing, school teaching fool, wonderful wife, daughter and sister that she is!

L maybe you should stay in the hospital for the WHOLE 48 hours! ;-)

Come on baby! Get on out and join the party!

Our new ice skating pond in the 'hood

Skating today on our little holding pond. Very cold outside but the weather was great for an out door skating party. I even got to make like a swede and bring out the cold weather picnic. It was great the house was only a block away. The hot chocolate and grill cheese was still warm. Now I need to get some skates to join the party too!

Kids back in school

Alarm blaring at 6:30 and E climbs on me at 6:45. Suddenly it is 7:30, we are all still in bed. Snoring.
GET UP GET UP GET UP.....
Breakfast, bus, school..
Ahhhhhhhh...
But S still hasn't finished eating, dressing, or finished the homework from before the holidays. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Good thing we still had the morning before S had school. phew

But when S came home from school this evening my belly-laugh came to me too.

It is the greatest kids drawing "Trip to Grammy and Poppy's" for the holidays (in a wacky car with twelve wheels and one window). You gotta love the attention to detail, the trees, the clouds, all our smiling faces and my "brown" hair. perfect.

I guess EVERYDAY is NOT happening!

It is day 3 of 2010 and I have already missed a day of my blog. BOOOO on me!

OK...moving on.
I missed telling you on Jan. 2 that we took the tree down after my belly-laugh of the day, Robbing the Tree.

Robbing the tree is the coolest way to end the holiday season that has ever been invented. First,I took everything out for the Christmas tree but the lights, the candy, and some special "poppers" we had made before Christmas.

Then we let the kids clean out the tree in the style of pin the tail on the donkey. It was so much fun to play with the kids.

We took down the rest of the decorations today with the party music channel playing in the background. Then we had a kick butt session of Wii Active and Lego Rock Band. I love the Hives, by the way. Thank Rock Band for the introduction.

Today's belly laugh...Kids trying to distract us from Sunday Morning on CBS by stuffing their pajama bottoms with towels and chanting "looooook at my butt, looook at my butt!" Comedy at its finest.

Janurary 1

Here it begins. 2010 started very well. Got the kids to bed a little after 11PM, got in my new PJs, washed the make-up off my face, and just got the TV on to watch the ball fall in NYC. Pretty good.

This morning I made plans...
2010 Year of Taking Responsibility

I have to take responsibility for myself, my health, my family, and my future. No one is to blame but me.

I hope my family and friends will hold me accountable.

I can report on my first belly-laugh. The Stalebr Lego Rock Band: Meghan taking lead vocals, Odd on guitar, Elliot on drums, and Sofia on the big bass. BIG FUN! I see this becoming the new family fun time!
